    How it works

Invite friends to a themed party with roles and mysteries!

Our games are perfect for an evening full of laughter, excitement, and roleplay.

Choose between murder mysteries and other, less bloody stories.

    Here’s how it works:

    • The games consist of 6 acts (rounds).

    • In acts 1–4 and act 6, each guest receives a personal letter with instructions and lines.

    • During act 5, physical clues are handed out. Guests work in groups to solve the mystery.

    • In act 6, the truth is revealed – you get all the answers!

We encourage playfulness and improvisation between acts – it makes the party even more fun!

    Preparations

Before the party – planning tips
    • Ask guests to respond at least two weeks before the party.
This will give you time to find a replacement if someone is unable to attend.

    • If there are too few of you:
Ask if the guests would like to invite anyone extra.
The games work great even with people you don't know that well!

    Choose roles for your guests

    • Once the guests have accepted, you can:

      • Read through the character descriptions.

      • Match each guest with an appropriate role.

    Send out information

    • Once the guest list is complete and the roles are assigned:

      • Send out character sheets and practical information.

      • It's great to do it digitally, but you can also print and distribute the material physically.

    Prepare the game

    • Print the game double-sided on regular A4 or US letter size paper.

    • Fold the letters and cut out clues.

    • Some clues require simple assembly:

      • Use, for example, glue, tape or a stapler.

    During the game

    • The crime has already been committed when the game begins.

    • The guests must figure out who is guilty – the perpetrator is sometimes hiding among them!

    • In some mysteries, everyone is invited to solve the crime. In other mysteries, guests show up to a regular event and only learn about the crime during the first or second round.
